Travel Opportunities

As PhD students, we have the opportunity to attend and present at seminars and conferences locally, nationally and internationally. This provides us the wonderful opportunity of meeting researchers in our field, whom under normal circumstances we would only read about, make acquaintances with other postgraduate students, and explore new places. Just last year, we had the fortune of travelling to Vancouver, Canada to attend and present at an international research conference, the 2001 International Society for Research in Child and Adolescent Psychopathology (ISRCAP) Tenth Scientific Meeting. In between attending lectures and mingling at poster presentations, we were able to enjoy the local fare and take in the local sights and attractions. We had a fantastic time!
